A Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Sabarimala temple gold loss case suspects more gold was stolen than initially recovered. The SIT informed a Kerala court that gold is missing from at least seven additional artefacts, including those from the Prabha Mandalam, Shiva, and Vyali idols, beyond the Dwarapalaka idols and door frames. The investigation involves accused individuals who allegedly siphoned off gold during a 2019 electroplating process. Scientific testing is underway to determine the exact quantity of missing gold.
