Warangal Police have arrested a seven-member inter-State gang from Rajasthan for allegedly using a novel method to steal money from ATMs. The gang reportedly inserted steel plates behind cash dispenser shutters, blocking cash dispensing while debit alerts were sent to customers. The accused would later retrieve the trapped cash using duplicate keys. Police recovered ₹5.10 lakh, two cars, and other items. The gang members are alleged to be habitual offenders trained in Rajasthan and had shifted operations to Warangal after enhanced security measures in their home state.
