Telangana Police Launch Operation Crackdown to Target Cybercrime Networks

The Telangana Police launched 'Operation Crackdown,' a multi-month initiative by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau to dismantle cybercrime networks statewide. The first phase targets mule bank accounts, with 1,888 suspicious accounts across 137 bank branches in 16 districts under investigation. These accounts are linked to over 9,400 crime cases nationwide, including 782 in Telangana. Police teams are verifying KYC details, uncovering possible collusion between bank staff and organized agents. Cases are being registered as investigations proceed.
