A woman from Manipur and her friend, including a transgender individual from Assam, were allegedly assaulted near the Saket District Court Complex in South Delhi after objecting to lewd and racially offensive remarks by a group of men. The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated at Safdarjung Hospital. Police have apprehended juveniles in connection with the case and are investigating. The incident has drawn condemnation from Northeast leaders, including Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, who urged strict action against racial bullying. This follows recent similar attacks on Northeast residents in Delhi.
