Manipur Woman and Friend Assaulted in Delhi After Objecting to Harassment, Police Investigate

A woman from Manipur and her friend, including a transgender individual from Assam, were allegedly assaulted near the Saket District Court Complex in South Delhi after objecting to lewd and racially offensive remarks by a group of men. The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated at Safdarjung Hospital. Police have apprehended juveniles in connection with the case and are investigating.
