A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested N. Vijayakumar, a former member of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case. Vijayakumar was a TDB member in 2019 when gold plates were approved for electroplating. His arrest follows criticism from the Kerala High Court regarding the probe's pace and selective arraignment of TDB members. Several other individuals, including former TDB President A. Padmakumar, have also been arrested in the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities.
