Four Mumbai Police Personnel Suspended Over Theft and Extortion Allegations

Four Mumbai Police personnel, including Assistant Police Inspector Vijay Sutar and three constables from the RCF Police Station's Anti-Terrorism Cell, have been suspended following allegations of theft and extortion during operations targeting suspected illegal Bangladeshi nationals. Three officers have been arrested and are in judicial custody, while the fourth constable remains absconding. The case arose after a woman lodged a complaint about stolen cash and jewelry during a raid, leading to an internal inquiry and FIR registration under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
