Seven Women Die, Dozens Hospitalised After Ammonia Gas Leak at Tamil Nadu Seafood Factory
An ammonia gas leak at St Peter's Paul Seafoods Exports in Kannigaipair near Periyapalayam, Tamil Nadu, resulted in the deaths of seven women and hospitalization of 67 workers, many critically ill. Rescue teams, including a specialised NDRF CBRN unit, responded promptly. Patients are receiving treatment at multiple hospitals, with nine critical cases transferred to Chennai's Stanley Medical College Hospital.
