
Nashik police are intensifying action against the sale and use of banned nylon manja, a dangerous kite string, particularly around Makar Sankranti. Following incidents of serious injury and fatalities, 114 individuals have been booked, including vendors and parents of minors. Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik warned of potential MCOCA charges against vendors if the illegal string continues to be found and used extensively, emphasizing a strict campaign against its manufacture, sale, and storage.
