Police Seize 30 kg of Ganja in Separate Operations at Katpadi and Walajah

On February 27, 2026, police in Vellore and Ranipet seized a total of 30 kg of ganja during separate operations. The Government Railway Police found 9 kg in an abandoned bag on the Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express at Katpadi station. In a separate vehicle check on NH48 near Sumaithangi village, Kaveripakkam police seized 21 kg from an SUV, arresting four individuals. Cases have been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
