Thane crime branch apprehended a 36-year-old man from Telangana, seizing 638 kg of marijuana valued at approximately 2.04 crore. The accused was intercepted at the Kharegaon toll naka with the drugs hidden in an Innova vehicle. Authorities suspect a larger gang is involved and are investigating the source and intended recipient of the contraband. The man has been booked under the NDPS Act and remanded to police custody until January 3.
