Kanpur Man Allegedly Kills Wife Over Suspected Infidelity, Surrenders to Police

In Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, 22-year-old Sachin allegedly strangled his wife Shweta to death over suspicions of infidelity. The couple, originally from Mohanpur village in Fatehpur district, had a court marriage against their families' wishes and lived in a rented room in Kanpur. After a heated argument and police counselling following suspicions involving local students and money deposits, Sachin surrendered to police, who recovered Shweta's body wrapped in a blanket. Investigations are ongoing.
