Thoothukudi Police Seize Over 1,300 kg of Beedi Leaves Near Thermal Nagar Beach

Thoothukudi Q Branch Police seized approximately 1,300 kg of beedi leaves near Thermal Nagar Beach, Tamil Nadu, early Friday. Acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted vehicles suspected of smuggling the leaves to Sri Lanka. The suspects fled the scene, and the seized bundles, valued around Rs 40 lakh, along with the vehicles, were handed over to the Customs Department. Investigations are ongoing.
