A former employee of luxury watch retailer Cortina Watch in Singapore, Soh Jian Kun, has pleaded guilty to cheating customers of nearly S$500,000 (approximately 3.46 crore). The 33-year-old allegedly abused an internal staff purchase scheme to fund his escalating credit card debts. Soh reportedly swindled 14 victims between September 2024 and July 2025, exploiting the scheme which allowed employees to buy hard-to-obtain luxury watches. Sentencing is expected in February.
