Two Arrested in Bengaluru Over Alleged Electric Vehicle Promotional Scam

Bengaluru police arrested two men, including Rakesh, linked to a multi-crore fraud involving electric bikes and scooters sold under a fake promotional scheme. Customers were allegedly lured with offers of EV bikes worth around Rs 1.5 lakh for Rs 35,000, with deposits taken and loans fraudulently obtained in their names. The scam involved showrooms named Aapki EV and Bilker EV, and investigations are ongoing, including possible bank staff involvement.
