Ghaziabad Girl Dies After Alleged Beating by Father and Stepmother

A six- to seven-year-old girl named Shifa died in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, after being allegedly beaten by her father, Akram, and stepmother, Nisha, for soiling her clothes. Police reports indicate she suffered 13 injuries, including fractured ribs and internal bleeding. The couple reportedly left her on a rooftop overnight in cold weather before taking her to a hospital where she died. An FIR for murder was registered following a complaint by the girl's grandfather, and both accused have been arrested. Investigations are ongoing.
