Authorities in Punjab have uncovered drug and mobile phone smuggling activities within Ludhiana and Kapurthala jails. In Ludhiana Central Jail, police arrested two inmates and a Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation employee after recovering narcotics, mobile phones, and tobacco. In Kapurthala Central Jail, multiple inmates were found with concealed mobile phones and narcotic substances, leading to several cases under the NDPS Act and the Prisons Act.
