Haryana Reports 8.24% Decline in Crime Rate in January 2026, Highlights Police Initiatives

Haryana Police reported an 8.24% decline in total registered crimes in January 2026 compared to January 2025, with cases dropping from 10,115 to 9,492. Significant reductions include rape cases by 54.55%, robbery by 77%, and crimes under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act by 32.91%. DGP Ajay Singhal highlighted a focus on proactive, technology-driven policing, emphasizing women's safety and vulnerable groups, with a near 100% detection rate in crimes against women and children.
