Two elderly residents in Greater Noida have lost over 50 lakh combined due to separate cyber frauds. In one case, a 60-year-old lost 27 lakh after clicking a malicious link that granted remote access to his phone, leading to unauthorized bank transactions. In a separate incident, a 59-year-old was defrauded of 23.5 lakh when a scammer, posing as an electricity department executive, tricked him into paying for meter verification via a fraudulent link. Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
