Ahmedabad police arrested Mohammad Amjad, 35, for his role in a gang that scammed elderly individuals by falsely claiming they had 'black blood' causing mobility issues. The gang posed as medical professionals, performing fake treatments charging ₹7,000 per drop of extracted blood. The fraud was uncovered after a bank manager noticed suspicious large withdrawals by a senior citizen, leading to police intervention and recovery of ₹6.7 lakh. The gang targeted vulnerable seniors at public places, exploiting their health concerns.
