Fire Damages Study Room and Car at St Patricks Church Complex in Kozhikode

A fire broke out early Saturday in a study room within the St Patricks Church complex in Kozhikode, Kerala, causing damages estimated at around Rs 8 lakh and destroying a car belonging to a priest. CCTV footage showed an unidentified man, possibly mentally ill, setting the fire. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are searching for the suspect. The local archbishop called for a thorough police investigation.
