Police have arrested a 32-year-old man, Salman Qureshi, in connection with the murder of a 45-year-old teacher, Rao Danish Ali, on the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus. Authorities state the motive was revenge, stemming from a belief that the victim had informed police in a 2018 murder case involving Qureshi's associates. The victim was shot on December 24 while walking with friends and later died. Investigations are ongoing for other potential suspects.
