Gurugram School Chairman Arrested for Faking CBSE Accreditation, Defrauding Students

Authorities arrested Vinay Kataria, chairman of Educrest International School in Gurugram, for allegedly defrauding students by falsely claiming CBSE accreditation for classes 9 and 10. The school, licensed only up to class 8, issued fake affiliation certificates and failed to provide admit cards to 11 Class 10 students, causing them to miss board exams. Police have registered cases against Kataria and other staff members, with investigations ongoing and some accused still absconding.
