
Hyderabad recorded a 15% decrease in overall crime in 2025 compared to the previous year, with reductions in bodily and property offenses. However, crimes against women rose by 6%, and POCSO cases increased by 27%. Cybercrime cases declined by 8%, while NDPS cases saw an increase. Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar attributed the overall dip to visible policing and enforcement, and outlined plans to enhance technology, including AI and drone policing, for future crime prevention.
