Bunty Jahagirdar, an accused in the 2012 Pune serial blasts case, was allegedly shot dead by two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle in Shrirampur town, Ahilyanagar district. Jahagirdar, who was out on bail since 2023, sustained bullet injuries and later died at a hospital. Police are investigating the motive, with multiple teams formed to probe the incident. Jahagirdar also had multiple criminal cases registered against him in the district.
