
Two brothers from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Gulsher Ali (46) and Abdul Subhan (44), both madrassa teachers collecting Ramadan donations, died after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding Mahindra Thar SUV at a traffic signal in Chandigarh's Manimajra area around 11:30 pm. The driver, Armaan, 18 or 19, son of a Chandigarh police head constable, fled but was later arrested. Police found no driving license or evidence of alcohol use. Family members allege police are shielding the accused, who was released on bail.
