Victims' families are demanding a fast-tracked trial following a deadly fire at Goa's Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub on December 6. Bhavna Joshi, who lost four family members, recounted that staff attempted to douse the blaze with water from wine glasses and bottles due to a lack of fire extinguishers. The fire, believed to be caused by fireworks, resulted in 25 fatalities, with narrow exits exacerbating the tragedy. Eight people have been arrested, including three owners, while another owner is being sought.
