The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognizance of the alleged murder of an eight-month pregnant woman in Ludhiana. The NCW has requested a detailed report from the Punjab Director General of Police within five days, urging a fair investigation, evidence preservation, strict legal action against the accused, and support for the victim's family. Police have registered a murder case against the victim's husband, who is accused of assault leading to her death.
