Elderly Tourist Dies in Goa After Rented Thar SUV Collides with His Vehicle

A 65-year-old tourist, Bhagat Sharma from Bhopal, died in north Goa after a rented Thar SUV allegedly speeding rammed into his Hyundai i20 at a crossroad in Assagao. Sharma, traveling with a woman and a five-year-old child who survived, sustained severe head injuries. Eyewitnesses reported delayed emergency ambulance response and noted the woman initially driving the Thar switched seats post-crash. Police have registered a rash and negligent driving case and seized the vehicle, with investigations ongoing.
