Actor Jayasurya was interrogated for several hours by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in Kochi regarding suspected links to the multi-crore Save Box Bidding App investment fraud. The ED is investigating whether Jayasurya, who reportedly served as a brand ambassador, had financial dealings with the app's promoters. The Save Box App, launched in 2019, allegedly defrauded investors by promising high returns through various ventures. The case gained traction in 2023 with the arrest of the app's owner, Swadiq Rahim, after investors failed to receive promised returns.
