Punjab Police Kill One Suspect, Arrest Another in Gurdaspur Cops' Killing Case

Punjab Police killed 19-year-old Ranjit Singh and arrested another suspect, Dilawer Singh, in connection with the February 22 killing of two policemen near the India-Pakistan border in Gurdaspur. Authorities allege the suspects were recruited by Pakistan's ISI to carry out the attack. Ranjit escaped custody after a vehicle accident but was later confronted and shot in an encounter. His family disputes the police account, claiming he died in custody and demanding an inquiry. A third suspect remains at large.
