Two Deported Bangladeshi Women Arrested in Mumbai for Illegal Re-Entry

Mumbai police arrested two Bangladeshi women, aged 30 and 38, who re-entered India illegally after being deported in August 2025. Bilkis Begum Siramiya Akhtar was detained in Cuffe Parade, and Zulekha Jamal Sheikh near the Gateway of India. Both admitted to crossing the India-Bangladesh border without valid documents and are now facing charges under the Foreigners Act. Authorities are investigating possible networks aiding illegal entry and have noted repeated re-entries by deported individuals.
