MBBS Student Killed in Gorakhpur After SUV Hits Scooter; Driver Arrested

A 22-year-old MBBS student, Akash Pandey of BRD Medical College, died after a speeding black Toyota Fortuner SUV hit his scooter on the Mohaddipur-Kauwabagh Overbridge in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday night. The collision threw Pandey onto the overbridge railing, where he remained suspended until police arrived. The SUV driver, Golden Sahni, initially fled but was later arrested and charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Three others were injured in the incident, and investigations continue.
