Bus-Truck Collision on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan Kills Seven, Injures Dozens
A passenger bus traveling from Haridwar or Rishikesh to Indore collided with a truck or trailer on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Dausa, Rajasthan, early Wednesday. The collision caused the bus to lose control, fall into a gorge, and catch fire. Between six and eight people died—five from burns and others from injuries—and 15 to 22 were injured, including women and children. Rescue operations involved police, fire services, and local residents, with injured passengers treated at Dausa District Hospital and some referred for advanced care. Authorities are investigating the cause, considering driver fatigue and speed as factors.
