Hoax Cyanide Gas Threat Email Causes Evacuation at Bhopal Government Office

A threatening email claiming that 16 cyanide gas cylinders were placed inside the Madhya Pradesh Weights and Measures Department office in Bhopal led to a precautionary evacuation on March 16. Police and bomb disposal teams searched the premises but found no explosives. Similar hoax emails had targeted other local institutions earlier. Authorities are investigating the source, suspecting a nationwide gang using fake identities. Staff resumed work shortly after the all-clear.
