Mumbai Customs Seizes Hydroponic Weed, Gold, and Illegal Medicines Worth Over Rs 24 Crore

Mumbai Customs officials seized 23.593 kilograms of hydroponic weed worth approximately Rs 23.59 crore from three passengers arriving from Bangkok, who were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Additionally, 591.9 grams of gold valued at Rs 85.35 lakh were recovered from three other passengers in separate cases. Customs also confiscated medicines from a passenger attempting to export them without a valid license. Investigations into these smuggling attempts are ongoing.
