Kerala Court Convicts Man for 2023 Murder of Doctor in Hospital

A Kerala court convicted G Sandeep for the May 2023 murder of Dr Vandana Das at Kottarakkara taluk hospital. Sandeep, a school teacher, was brought to the hospital for a leg injury but attacked police officers, a companion, and Dr Das with surgical scissors. Dr Das, a house surgeon from Kottayam district, died from multiple stab wounds after being rushed to a private hospital. The court is set to pronounce the sentence on March 19.
