Suspended Punjab DIG Bhullar Seeks Recall of CBI Court's Cognisance Order in Bribery Case

Suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar and middleman Kirshanu Sharda have petitioned the CBI Court in Chandigarh to recall its March 13 cognisance order in a bribery case. The court had noted prima facie evidence of conspiracy and bribe demand of ₹8 lakh. The defence contends the prosecution's chargesheet is incomplete, key reports remain undisclosed, and state government consent was not obtained, also challenging the court's jurisdiction. The court has asked the prosecution to respond by March 27.
