In Kanpur, a call centre-style operation used AI-edited photos and fake receipts to sell fraudulent membership packages, leading to one arrest and multiple detentions. In Ahmedabad, Karim Rafik Sipai was arrested for impersonating a widower with fabricated identity documents to exploit women financially.
