Death Toll Rises to Two in Bhubaneswar Hoarding Collapse; Locals Protest on Highway

In Bhubaneswar's Khandagiri area, two people died after an unauthorized iron hoarding collapsed during thunderstorms with heavy rain and strong winds. Several commuters had taken shelter nearby when the structure fell. Two others remain critically injured. The deceased include Surendra Gouda and college student Sachidananda Pradhan. Following Pradhan's death, locals blocked National Highway-16 demanding justice and compensation. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation stated the hoarding was illegally erected and has initiated steps to remove illegal hoardings citywide, urging police to file an FIR against the responsible company.
