One Killed, Four Injured in Mob Attack Over Cattle Theft Suspicion in Kokrajhar

In Kokrajhar district, Assam, a mob attacked five individuals suspected of cattle theft on Monday night, resulting in one death and four serious injuries. The victims, linked to a road construction project, were assaulted after their vehicle skidded off the road during an attempt by locals to stop them. The vehicle was set on fire. Police detained 19 people and are investigating. Protests and highway blockades demanding justice have caused ongoing tension in the area.
