
Delhi Police have arrested a 31-year-old man from Punjab for allegedly defrauding women by posing as a prospective groom on matrimonial sites and social media. The accused, Dashmeet Singh, befriended women, gained their trust, and then induced them to transfer money on various pretexts. The funds were reportedly spent on expensive liquor and parties to support his extravagant lifestyle. The investigation began after a complaint of being cheated of over 86,000, leading to his apprehension in Patiala.
