Indian National Charged in Singapore for Alleged Molestation on Flight

An Indian national, Akash Tiwari, 35, was charged in a Singapore court for allegedly molesting and harassing an air stewardess on a Singapore Airlines flight from Bangkok to Singapore on February 9. He faces charges of using criminal force to outrage the victim's modesty and causing distress through threatening behavior. Tiwari has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on March 26. Singapore police stated offenders will be dealt with according to the law, which allows penalties including imprisonment, fines, and caning.
