
Two retired army officers in India fell victim to cyber fraud involving unauthorized access to their banking and credit card details. Colonel Rajbir Singh Duggal from Chandigarh lost over Rs 12 lakh after downloading a malicious APK file linked to a fake courier service, resulting in multiple unauthorized transfers. Separately, Sanjeev Kumar Gulati, associated with DRDO, was defrauded of Rs 89,135 when fraudsters used his credit card to purchase mobile phones online on EMI. Both cases are under police investigation.
