
Mumbai Police have recovered 1,650 mobile phones, valued at approximately Rs 2 crore, that were lost or stolen in the city and traced to various locations in Uttar Pradesh. This operation, part of a larger drive, utilized technical surveillance and the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. With this recovery, Mumbai Police have returned over 33,500 phones to their owners. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the police's efforts in this inter-state recovery operation.
