Three Maoists, including a woman, were killed in a gunfight with Odisha Police's Special Operation Group in Kandhamal district's Gumma forest. The encounter occurred Wednesday night after security forces, acting on a tip, launched a combing operation. Two identified male Maoists carried a bounty of over Rs 23 lakh. A third unidentified woman Maoist's body was recovered later. No security personnel were harmed, and combing operations continue. This incident follows a surrender of 22 Maoists in a neighboring district.
