
Delhi Police conducted 'Operation Gang Bust 2026', a 48-hour multi-state crackdown involving over 9,000 personnel across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The operation targeted organised crime networks, resulting in 854 arrests, including 280 gang members linked to major and minor gangs. Police raided over 4,000 hideouts, registered 690 FIRs, and seized weapons, ammunition, narcotics, cash, and vehicles. The crackdown aimed to dismantle criminal syndicates and enhance public safety ahead of Republic Day.
