Six men have been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for the 2016 abduction and attempted gang rape of a woman near Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The court also ordered compensation for the victim. The convicts were arrested shortly after the incident and found guilty under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including abduction and attempt to commit gang rape. The victim managed to escape and report the crime to the police.
