
An Assistant Police Inspector (API) in Thane district, Maharashtra, has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The officer, Sanjay Dhondiram Bidgar, was reportedly caught red-handed on Friday. The bribe was allegedly demanded in exchange for not arresting a complainant, his son, and wife in a registered case, and for assisting them. The complainant approached the ACB after the demand, leading to the trap and subsequent arrest.
