Indo-Canadian Businessman Fatally Shot in Surrey; Police Investigate Incident

In Surrey, British Columbia, 46-48-year-old Indo-Canadian businessman Baljinder 'Binder' Singh Garcha was fatally shot near his property on January 13. Police found him with gunshot wounds and later discovered a burned vehicle believed linked to the case. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is probing the incident, which is not currently connected to local gang conflicts. Separately, a 28-year-old man, Navpreet Dhaliwal, linked to gang activity, was killed in Abbotsford earlier in January. Investigations into both shootings are ongoing.
