A shooting in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood on June 22 resulted in the deaths of a police officer, a civilian, and the suspect. Authorities are investigating a 104-page manifesto attributed to the gunman, which reportedly expresses anti-feminist, incel ideology and criticizes capitalism. The manifesto calls for violent revolution and blames societal issues on factors like pornography. The police officer was identified as Constable Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, and the civilian as Michael Mizrahi. Motives remain under investigation.
